Aermacchi AL60-B2                                                  

The AL.60 series was derived from the Lockheed LASA 60 design which first flew in 1959 and 44 of which were built in Mexico by LASA (Lockheed Azcarate SA). The AL.60-B1 (4 built) was powered by a 250hp(186kW) Continental. The AL.60-C5 Conestoga (14 built) was a tailwheel version which first flew in 1967 and was powered by a 400hp(298kW) Lycoming. It had an empty weight of 2557lb(1160kg) and a MTOW of 4500lb (2043kg). Examples of the Conestoga saw military service with the Central African Empire and Rhodesia where it was known as the Trojan.
