Aero Commander 680 Super


The Model 680 Super was developed from the Model 500A and was followed by the Model 680E (100 built) which had a lower maximum take-off weight of 6500lb(2951kg). The Model 680F (126 built) introduced 2x 380hp(283kW) Lycomings with new nacelles. A pressurized version was the Model 680FP (26 built) which first flew in 1961. The Model 720 Alti-Cruiser (13 built) featured the lower powered engines and a wingspan of 49’6.5”(15.1m). Approximate numbers still in service are: Model 680 Super (100); Model 680E (50); Model 680F(30); Model 680FP (2); Model 720 (6).
