The rugged Comp Air 8 is a stretched version of the Comp Air 7 and can
be operated as a cargo utility aircraft or for business or pleasure. It
can be fitted with floats and a ventral cargo pod. Aerocomp developed
the Comp Air 8 further with the Comp Air 8-52XL which first flew in
2005. This aircraft has an increase in wingspan at 35’6” (10.77m) and an
increase in maximum take-off weight at 6500lb (2944kg). It is of
all-carbon construction.
