Designed as a jet trainer for the Warsaw Pact countries, the Delfin was
extremely successful with around 2000 being used by the Soviet Air Force
alone. Others were operated by Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, East Germany,
Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia and Romania. About 60 are now flown in civil
markings, mainly in the USA.
