Aeromere F.8L Falco 111


The Falco was designed by Stelio Frati and manufactured in several variants. The prototype first flew in 1955 powered by a 90hp(67kW) Continental. The Falco 1 (10 built) was built by Aviamilano and was powered by a 135hp(100kW) Lycoming. Aviamilano also built 10 Falco 11’s powered by a 150hp(112kW) Lycoming. The Super Falco 1V (20 built) was built by Laverda (this company had formerly been Aeromere until a name change in 1964) and first flew in 1965. It was powered by a 160hp(119kW) Lycoming and had a maximum take-off weight of 1808lb(820kg). The Falco is currently offered in kit form by the Sequoia Aircraft Corporation in the US. The Sequoia Falco F.8L first flew in 1974 and it has a maximum take-off weight of 1880lb(853kg). More than 60 of the Sequoia Falcos have been built by homebuilders in the USA alone.
