Aeromot AMT-200 Super Ximango


Aeromot Aeronaves E Motores S.A of Porto Alegre in Brazil was founded in 1967 and acquired the rights to manufacture the Fournier RF-10 motor glider in 1985. The initial Brazilian version was designated AMT-100 Ximango (53 built) and was powered by an 80hp(59kW) Limbach L2000-EO-1. The Rotax powered AMT-200 was followed by the AMT-200S Super Ximango which is powered by a 100hp (74kW) Rotax 912 S4 and which has a cruising speed of 128mph(205kmh). The latest version is the AMT-300 Turbo Ximango Shark which is powered by a 115hp (85kW) Rotax 914 F3 and which has a cruising speed of 140mph(230kmh). This model has a length of 26’6”(8.08m) and a wingspan of 58’0”(17.7m).
