The Aeronca 7 Series was an extensive one starting in1945 with the
Aeronca 7AC Champion (7200 built) which was developed from the Model L-3
and powered by a 65hp(48kW) Lycoming. The miltary version of the Model
7AC was the Model 7BCM(509 built) which had the military designation
L-16 Grasshopper. This version had an 85hp(63kW) Continental. The7CCM
was also given the designation L-16B. The Model 7DC(184 built) was
followed by the Model 7EC Traveler(773 built) which was the final model
built by Aeronca who sold the rights to the Model 7 to the Champion
Aircraft Corporation in 1954. Today many hundreds of the Aeronca 7
series grace the skies in many parts of the world. An Aeronca 7AC is
