The AS332L Super Puma is a stretched version of the SA330C Super Puma
and has carved a niche for itself in the offshore oil rig support
market. An updated version, the AS332L1 first flew in 1986 powered by 2x
1877shp (1400kW) Turbomecas. In 1992 Aerospatiale became part of the
Eurocopter group and the type is thus also referred to as the Eurocopter
AS332 Super Puma.
