The Model A319 is a shorter version of the A320 and the second smallest
member of the Airbus family. It is a direct competitor with the Boeing
737-300 and has been extremely successful, securing orders from major
airlines such as British Airways, Air Canada, Lufthansa and Swissair.
The Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) is an intercontinental corporate jet
developed from the A319 and which made its first flight in 1999. The
main differences are in layout and range, the ACJ being capable of
carrying 40 passengers in a luxury interior for 5,177miles(8,300km).
Around 30 have been ordered to date.
