Air Tractor AT-502A


The single seat AT-502 (208 built) was the initial production version of the AT-500 series. Powered by a 680shp(507kW) P&W PT-6A-34, it had a maximum take-off weight of 9500lb(4313kg). The AT-502A was based on the AT-402B with a more powerful engine. The AT-502B is similar to the AT-502A but usually has Hoerner wingtip extensions and has a maximum take-off weight of 9700lb(4403kg). A two seat version, the AT-503 was first flown in 1986 in response to a requirement of the US State Department for an aircraft suitable for the eradication of narcotics crops.
