The Eaglerock series of touring biplanes proved popular in 1930’s
America. Other versions included the A-2 first flown in 1928 and powered
by a 90hp(67kW) Curtiss; the A-3/A-4 powered by a 150hp(112kW) Hispano-Suiza;
the Eaglerock Long-Wing (250* built) first flown in 1926 powered with a
90hp(67kW) Curtiss and with a maximum take-off weight of 2230lb(1012kg).
The similarly powered Eaglerock Combo-Wing (150* built) first flew in
1927 with a maximum take-off weight of 2180lb(989kg). The Eaglerock A-12
(9 built) first flew in 1929 powered by a 130hp(97kW) Comet. Among the
last aircraft built by Alexander were 30 D-2 Flyabouts, a 2 seater
