The F.4 Rondone (Swift) was designed by Stelio Frati in an attempt to
break into the post war private light aircraft market. One of the most
prolific of Italian aircraft designers, Frati had designed a motorglider
, the Ditta Movo FM.1 Passero (Pigeon), prior to the Rondone. One F.4
was converted to F.7 Rondone 11 standard. Other types designed by Frati
include the F.8L Falco, the four seat F.14 Nibbio and the Piaggio P.149D
among others. One F.4 Rondone is still believed to be active.
