Developed from the AN-24T, the AN-26 has a redesigned rear fuselage with
a cargo ramp. Although primarily a military transport, large numbers are
currently in service with civil cargo operators. It was allocated the
NATO code name ‘Curl’ and served with the air forces of Peru, Bangladesh
and Poland among others.
