Developed from the AN-26, the AN-32 features
much more powerful engines mounted above the wings to improve take-off
performance, service ceiling and payload at high altitude airfields. The
engine positioning reduces the possibility of debris ingestion at
unpaved airstrips. About 150 AN-32’s are flying in civil markings.
