Arctic Interstate S1 B2 Arctic Tern


The Arctic Tern was built by the Arctic Aircraft Company of Alaska. It was a redesigned and upgraded version of the Interstate S-1-B1 Cadet which first flew in 1940. A version known as the S4 Privateer (5+ built) first flew in 1994 powered by a 160hp(119kW) Lycoming. Many of these aircraft are still in use in bush operations in Alaska.
