The Arnold AR-6 was designed by Mike Arnold and is his second racer
design. It competed in the Formula 1 races at Reno in 2005. No more
details of the aircraft are available at this time. Mr. Arnold also
designed the AR-5 single seat sports racer which first flew in 1992
powered by a 65hp(48kW) Rotax 582. It has a length of 14’5” 4.37m),
height of 3’0”(0.91m), wingspan of 21’0”(6.37m), range of
500miles(804km), cruising speed of 165mph (265kmh) and an empty weight
of 488lb(221kg). The AR-5 was donated to the Hiller Aviation Institute
in San Carlos, California where it remains on permanent display.
