ARV Super 2


The Super 2 was an attempt to provide a low cost trainer and club aircraft. ARV Aviation was sold to Island Aviation Ltd. in 1988 who produced a further 8 aircraft before the rights were sold on to Aviation (Scotland) Ltd. who in conjunction with Uvan Invest AB of Sweden have built a further 4 aircraft as the ASL Opus 280 powered by an 80hp(59kW) Rotax. The type is also available in the USA as the Highlander; kits being made available by the Highlander Aircraft Corporation of Minnesota.
