ASAP Beaver RX-550


The ASAP Beaver was developed from the Spectrum Beaver RX-550 which was originally built by Spectrum Aircraft Inc. of Surrey, British Columbia. The RX-550 was a tandem two seat training version of the Spectrum Beaver RX-28 single seater which was powered by a 27hp(20kW) Rotax 277. Another variant of the Beaver produced by Spectrum was the Beaver RX-35 powered by a 35hp(26kW) Rotax 377. The RX-550 Floater is a float equipped version of the RX-550. ASAP also produce the Chinook Plus which is a two seat microlight powered by a 52hp(38kW) Rotax 503 and which has a maximum take-off weight of 900lb(408kg).
