Ayres Turbo Thrush 400


The Ayres Corporation had been responsible for turboprop conversions of the Rockwell Thrush Commander for a number of years before they acquired the manufacturing rights to the type. The current Model 400 is in fact the earlier Model S2R-T15 and the Ayres Turbo Thrush 510 is the earlier Model S2R-T34 which was first flown in 1976. The Model 510 which is powered by the 750shp(559kW) P&W PT6A-34AG has an empty weight of 4300lb(1950kg) and a maximum take-off weight of 9700lb(4400kg). The Model 400 has a 400 gallon hopper and the Model 510 has a 510 gallon hopper.
