The futuristic design of the Starship makes it stand out on any
flightline. Of canard layout with twin pusher engines mounted in the
rear, the Starship was the most unconventional executive transport on
offer in the 1980’s. The Model 2000A Starship(32 built) was introduced
in 1992 with eight seats, a range of 1814m(2920km) and a maximum
take-off weight of 14,900lb(6758kg). Production was terminated in 1995
due to lack of sales and Raytheon subsequently bought back most of the
remaining airworthy aircraft and decommissioned them. A number of these
were donated to museums around the United States.
