Callair A-3

Founded by the Call Brothers of Wyoming in 1939, Call Aircraft built 4 examples of the A-1 two seat light aircraft from 1944. Powered by a 100hp(74kW) Lycoming it had a maximum take-off weight of 1550lb(703kg). These were followed in 1946 by the A-2(16 built) which was the same as the A-3 apart from the engine which was a 125hp (93kW) Lycoming. The Callair A-4 (66 built) was a 3 seat version of the Model A-3 powered by a 140hp(104kW) Lycoming O-290. Examples of all four types are still active in the United States and are eagerly sought after by collectors.
