Camair 480B Twin Navion


The Model 480B was a twin-engined conversion of the North American Navion and Ryan Navion. The Model 480C (6 built) was powered by 2x 260hp(194kW) Continentals and first flew in 1960. This was followed by one example of the Model 480D which was powered by 2x 300hp(223kW) Continentals and which had a maximum take-off weight of 4500lb(2043kg). Conversions were undertaken by Camair until 1979. About 8 Model 480B’s are currently airworthy along with one Model 480C.
