The CL-415 is a turboprop powered version of the
CL-215. Initially Canadair decided to provide kits for upgrading
existing CL-215’s and actually built two examples which were designated
CL-215T. The version modified for SAR and other marine roles is
designated CL-415M. The CL-415 looks set to outsell the piston engined
CL-215.
