Designed as an intercontinental corporate
transport, the CL-604 prototype was a converted CL-601-3R with upgraded
engines, strengthened undercarriage, new wing to fuselage fairing and
increased fuel capacity with saddle tanks in the rear fuselage. The
CL-604 looks set to become the best selling of the Challenger series.
