A stretched version of the CRJ-700, the CRJ 900
features strengthened wings and undercarriage for the higher operating
weights. The aircraft is built with risk-sharing partners including
Canadair who build the nose, wings and rudder; Mitsubishi who build the
rear fuselage and Shorts who build the centre fuselage. America West
Express was the first customer for the CRJ 900.
