The Caproni Ca.100 was a licence-built version of the
de Havilland DH60 Moth although a number of design changes were made
including a longer lower wing and a different tail unit. It was built
for both civil and military users and various powerplants were used
including the 85hp Fiat A.50, 90hp Blackburn Cirrus Minor and the
115hp(86kW) Isotta Fraschini Asso 80R. The floatplane version was the Ca
100 Idro, an example of which is maintained in airworthy condition by
the Aeroclub di Como. A small number are exhibited in Italian Air
Museums.
