Caudron C.600 Aiglon

Designed by Marcel Riffard the Aiglon was a tandem two seat monoplane which was popular with flying clubs in France prior to World War 11. During the war many were used as liaison aircraft by the Armee de l’Air. Variants of the C600 were the C600G (5 built) powered by a 130hp(97kW) de Havilland Gypsy Major; the C601 Aiglon Senior (18 built) powered by a 140hp(104kW) Renault Bengali 4Pei and the single seat C610 (2 built). One C600 remains in airworthy condition. The aircraft illustrated above is a C.601, two examples of which are believed to remain airworthy in France.
