Centre Est Aeronautique was established by Pierre
Robin in 1957 to manufacture the DR.100 3 seat light aircraft which was
a development of the Jodel D.112. The D.112 stems from the original
Jodel D.9 Bebe which first flew in 1948. Other variants of the DR.1050
were the DR.1050M Sicile Record (25 built) first flown in 1964 and which
features a swept fin and new windshield. The DR.1051 Ambassadeur (161
built) was powered by a 105hp(78kW) Potez and the DR.1051M Sicile Record
(24 built) was the DR.1051 with the same modifications as the DR.1050M.
A large number of the DR.1050 series remain active.
