The twin boom Sceptre 1 was developed by Roberts
Sport Aircraft of Yakima, Washington with the intention of marketing it
as a kit for home construction. An alternative engine was the 65hp
(48kW) Rotax. A two seat seat version, the Sceptre 11 made its first
flight in 1985 powered by an 85hp(63kW) Limbach. At least one example of
the Sceptre 1 is maintained in airworthy condition. The type is now
known as the Central Aircraft Sceptre.
