Cessna 180

Derived from the Model 170B, the Model 180 was the beginning of a line of light utility aircraft which has outsold any of its rivals. The Model 180A (356 built) was introduced in 1957 powered by a 230hp(171kW) Continental and with an increased maximum take-off weight of 2650lb(1203kg). The Model 180B (306 built) featured a revised engine cowling, and was followed by the Model 180C (250 built) which had a constant speed propeller. The Model 180D (152 built) was similar with minor cosmetic improvements, as was the Model 180E (118 built). The Model 180F (129 built) featured a modified engine cowling and introduced two extra seats as an option. Large numbers of these models remain active.
