The Model 180G was a full six seater with an
extra cabin window on each side. The Model 180H (830 built) had minor
differences and a number were operated by the US Air Force under the
designation U-17C. The Model 180J (486 built) had minor improvements as
had the Model 180K (433 built). Production of the Model 180 series ended
in 1981. The type is used extensively in North America and particularly
in Canada where it is operated on floats or skis and used to fly sport
fishermen into remote camp locations or by private owners to reach their
summer holiday cabins usually located at the side of a lake. At the end
of 2001 almost 750 Model 180’s were registered in Canada.
