The Model 401 was a derivative of the Cessna
411. Lighter, and cheaper to operate, it was specifically aimed at the
business market. The Model 401A (132 built) had minor improvements and
was followed by the Model 401B (91 built) with minor changes. Production
ended in 1972 and many are still in use.
