The Model 421C Golden Eagle introduced a
number of important improvements to the Model 421B. It featured a new
wet wing which dispensed with the wing-tip tanks, narrower fin, larger
propellers and strengthened undercarriage. Production of the 421 series
ended in 1985. At least 700 examples remain in airworthy condition.
