Based on the Falcon 50, the Falcon 900 is a trans-
continental bizjet in the same class as the Canadair Challenger. The
Falcon 900B (76 built) was first flown in 1991 powered by 3x
4750lb.s.t.(21.1kN) Allied Signals and has a range of 4600miles(7402km).
The 900B has the ability to operate from unprepared airfields and a
number of earlier Model 900’s have been converted to this standard. The
upgraded Falcon 900C (22 built) replaced the Model 900B in 2000. The
Falcon 900EX (178+ built) first flew in 1995 powered by 3x 5000lb.s.t.
(22.3kN) Allied Signal TFE731-60 and has a range of 5170miles(8320km)
and a maximum take-off weight of 48,300lb(21,909kg). The Falcon 900DX
(11+ built) was first flown in 2005 and is similar to the Falcon 900EX
but has a range of 4664miles(7500km). It uses the front fuselage of the
Falcon 2000EX.
