Similar in size to the D.H.104 Dove, the Drover was
designed as a feeder transport with particular regard to the arduous
nature of the Australian outback. Although built in small numbers it was
used successfully by the Royal Flying Doctor Service who used 6 Drovers.
These aircraft were re-engined in 1960 with 3x 180hp(134kW) Lycomings
and re-designated Drover 3. At least one is still maintained in
airworthy condition in Australia.
