The Hornet Moth was a two seat side-by-side tourer.
The initial production model, the D.H.87A had tapered wings while the
D.H.87B (99 built), first flown in 1936, featured square-tipped wings.
Four examples of the D.H.87B were used by the Air Ministry at Felixstowe
for evaluation as floatplane trainers. A small number are still flying.
