The Dragonfly was a smaller version of the D.H.89A
Dragon Rapide and was aimed at small airlines and wealthy private
pilots. Its success was hampered by its high purchase price and
competition from more modern designs. A small number saw military
service in Canada, Denmark and Sweden. Only one is believed to remain in
airworthy condition.
