The Model 22 training and sports aircraft was
developed by Kreider-Reisner and built by the Fairchild Aircraft
Corporation. The 22-C7A(58 built) first flew in 1931 powered by a
95hp(70kW) Cirrus and with a maximum take-off weight of 1500lb(681kg);
the 22-C7B(9 built) first flew in 1932 powered by a 125hp(93kW) Menasco;
the 22-C7E(11 built) first flew in 1933 powered by a 125hp(93kW) Warner
and with a maximum take-off weight of 1750lb(794kg); the 22-C7F(9 built)
first flew in 1933 powered by a 145hp(108kW) Warner; the 22-C7G (6
built) first flew in 1933 and was similar to the C7F but with a maximum
take-off weight of 2100lb(953kg). A small number of Model 22’s of
various variants remain active.
