Fleet acquired the rights to the Noury N-75 which had
been designed by Noury Aircraft Ltd. of Ontario. They modified this
aircraft by enlarging the fin and it entered production in 1945 as the
Fleet 80 Canuck. It could be operated on floats or skis and the company
had a healthy order book when production ended in 1947 due to financial
problems. The rights were sold to Leavens Brothers of Ontario who built
26 examples to add to the 210 built by Fleet. At least 80 remain
airworthy mainly in Canada.
