Flight Design have produced a remarkable composite
two seater in the CTM. Parts are fabricated in the Ukraine and assembled
in Germany. The CTX is the kit version powered by a 100hp(75kW) Rotax
912S and has a maximum take-off weight of 1322lb(600kg) and a range of
1246 miles (2000km).The latest examples of this design are designated
Flight Design CT2K. It has become extremely popular in Germany, France
and the United Kingdom with its roomy cockpit and excellent range.The
Flight Design CTSW is a short wing version which was first flown in
2003. It has a wingspan of 28’2"(8.55m). A Model CTSW is
illustrated below.
