Fokker F.27 Mk.050

The Fokker F.27 Mk.050 was a new and improved version of the Fokker F.27 Srs.500 featuring almost 80% new parts. Externally similar to the F.27-500, the main difference is the engine installation and six-bladed propellers. The more efficient Pratt & Whitneys give better fuel economy and lower operating costs. A higher powered variant was the Series 300 which has 2x 2750shp(2050kW) Pratt & Whitney PW127B giving better performance at altitude. Production ended in 1996 when Fokker went bankrupt.
