The Fokker 70 was a shortened version of the earlier
Fokker 100, developed to take advantage of a forecast demand for large
numbers of short range 80-100 seat jets. Sharing much commonality with
the Fokker 100, the 70 uses the formers‘ wings and powerplant.
Production ended in 1996 with Fokker’s bankruptcy.
