Funk F-23A


The D.D. Funk Aviation Company Inc. of Kansas was founded in 1950 by Don D. Funk who was a former agricultural pilot. The type was available in two models, the F-23A and the F-23B(3 built) which was powered by a 275hp(205kW) Jacobs and had an overall length of 27’2"(8.28m). Cosmic Aircraft of Oklahoma bought the rights to the design in 1970 but no more examples were built. A handful of F-23A’s remain active. The example illustrated is powered by a Ford engine.
