The Meyers Aircraft Company was founded in 1936 in
Michigan by Allen Meyers to build the Meyers OTW which first flew in
1936. An open cockpit trainer it was built in three versions. The
OTW-125 (40 built) was powered by a 125hp(93kW) Warner and had a maximum
take-off weight of 1770lb(803kg). The OTW-160 (40 built) was the final
production version and was powered by a 160hp(119kW) Kinner and had a
maximum take-off weight of 1910lb(867kg). Production ended in 1943 and
about 20 examples of the Meyers OTW are thought to remain airworthy.
