The first design by Michel Barry was the MB-01 which
first flew in 1988. Only one was built and this was destroyed in an
accident. The MB-02 was an immediate success and examples have been
built with a variety of powerplants including the 12hp(9kW) JPX 425; the
21hp(15kW) Konig SC430 and the 28hp (20kW) Hirth F23. Empty and maximum
take-off weights vary with the engine installation and the JPX powered
model has a maximum take-off weight of 440lb(200kg).
