North American P-51C Mustang

The P-51B (1988 built) and the P-51C were re-engined versions of the P-51A. The prototype P-51B first flew in 1942 powered by the Packard built Rolls-Royce Merlin which gave a big improvement in performance. At least one P-51C remains airworthy in the United States.
