Oberlerchner Holzindustirie was a builder of gliders
before World War 11 and the company’s only foray into powered aircraft
construction was the JOB-15. They had designed and built a small side by
side two seater, the JOB-5, which first flew in 1957 powered by a
95hp(70kW) Continental. This was developed as the JOB-15 three seater
which was eventually built in two versions, the JOB-15-135 and the
JOB-15-150 which first flew in 1963 powered by a 150hp(112kW) Lycoming
and with a maximum take-off weight of 2127lb(965kg). The 150 was a four
seater and subsequently several were converted to take a 180hp(134kW)
Lycoming and designated JOB-15-180. Production of the type ceased in
1966 and only a few remain airworthy.
