On Mark Marksman C

The Marksman was a conversion of the Douglas A-26 Invader by the On Mark Engineering Company of Van Nuys, California. They were available as the Marksman A powered by 2X 2100hp(1567kW) P&W R-2800 -83AM3 engines and refitted with an executive interior. The Marksman B had wingtip tanks and the Marksman C was powered by 2X 2500hp(1865kW) P&W R-2800-CB--16 engines and had no wingtip tanks. These models were pressurized whereas the On Mark Marketeer was an unpressurized version of the Marksman C. The large number of surplus Invaders disposed of by the US military during the 1950’s spawned a number of other conversions including the Smith Tempo 11 by the LB Smith Aircraft Corporation of Miami, Florida. This had a new fuselage with a length of 60’4"(18.37m) and seated 13 passengers. A few Marksman remain airworthy.
