The Parnall company had been involved in aircraft
manufacture since World War 1 and the Elf was among the last aircraft to
be designed by the company. Built as a rival to the de Havilland Moth
and featuring folding wings, the Elf was no match for the Moth and only
three were built. One survives and is kept airworthy.
