The prototype P.68 first flew in 1970 and the first
production model was the P.68 Victor (14 built) which had a length of
29’8"(9.04m) and was a six seater. The improved P.68B entered production
in 1974 and was superseded by the P.68C (150+ built) in 1979. The P.68C
had a length of 31’4"(9.55m) and a maximum take-off weight of
4387lb(1991kg). The longer nose of the P.68C housed weather radar and
extra avionics; it also had redesigned wheel fairings and extra fuel for
a range of 1390miles(2236km). Several examples of the P.68 have been
assembled in India. It is a light utility twin with a fixed
undercarriage and has proven popular with air taxi operators worldwide.
